FIGURE SKATING CLUB
Welcome to the BBFSC! Established in 2006, we are a figure skating organization located in the city of Bakersfield, California. With a passion for the artistry and athleticism of figure skating, our club provides a welcoming environment for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether you're taking your first steps on the ice or aiming for the highest levels of competition, we are dedicated to helping you achieve your goals and fostering a tight-knit community of skaters. Bakersfield Blades has a talented group of coaches who offer private lessons. If you are just beginning, we offer an 8 week Learn-to-Skate Academy that gives you an opportunity to work with the coaches to find the best match for you. If you would like to practice outside of Learn-to-Skate, the club offers Freestyle Sessions. Valley Children's Ice Center offers public sessions as well. To view the weekly sessions at Valley Children's, click the schedule button below. We occasionally have freestyle sessions at Mechanics Bank Arena, this will be updated monthly on our website and socials.

If you decide to become a member, you may be invited to participate in our seasonal showcases we put on throughout the year. Our event schedule will be updated as dates are decided on. Skaters who love to challenge themselves can also decide to do figure skate testing and competitions!
